Course 2 Summary and Analysis

 *COURSE 4:*

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ *PRAYER*

*ANALYSIS AND SUMMARY:*

Prayer is the most important of the 5 pillars of CDP. In fact, Prayer is the identity of every true member of the Catholic Divine Project. What it means is that without an active prayer life, such a person is simply regarded as: abandoned project, fallen project, stale or moribund project.

Simply put, Prayer is a dialogue with God in which we raise our minds towards Him, present our petitions to Him and listen to His instructions to us.

We have different forms of prayer; namely: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving and Supplication (A.C.T.S).

Prayer can also be categorised as follows:

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Liturgical Prayer: officiated by an ordained Catholic minister (Bishop, Priest or Deacon).

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Non-liturgical Prayer: can be led by a lay faithful.

Prayer can be of enormous benefits which include:

1. Build our relationship with God.

2. Helps us find direction in life.

3. Protects us from Temptations and enables us overcome temptations.

4. Draws down God's blessings on us.

We are so sure of the powers inherent in prayer because of the words of Jesus Christ in the Bible thus: *“Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it would be yours"* (cf. Mk 11:24). Apart from the above, we have other instances of prayer and its effectiveness in the Bible, for example: Heb 5:7, Eph 1:15-23, etc.

There are a number of prayers that are observed in CDP and they are geared towards spiritual upliftment and fortification.

Finally, PRAYER should not be neglected in the life of any true Christian because it is a sign of NO love for God and an exposition of one's self to the activities of the devil and his agents. Thus, ST. JOHN MARY VIANNEY affirms: *“One of the first things the devil always does is to make people STOP PRAYING."* Again, according to ST. TERESA of AVILA, *“He who OMITS prayers needs no devil to cast him into HELL; he casts himself into hell."*

May the Blessed Virgin Mary always support us with her powerful intercession. AmenπŸ™πŸΌ

Remain blessedπŸ™πŸΌ
